The Victory Day Paragraph

Our Victory Day is on 16 December. The Victory Day is observed in our country every year. It is called 'Victory Day' because on this day in 1971 we achieved our well-deserved victory from Pakistan. We gained victory at the cost of a bloody war and Bangladesh occupied a place in the world map as an independent country. We started to gain our glorious advancement from this historic day. Our nation is considered as a heroic nation. Actually, the victory day is a day of great achievement for us. To commemorate our victory we observe this day with great solemnity. We remember the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. The day begins with gunshots. The whole country wears a festive look. The national flag is hoisted on the top of each office and house. People from every walk of life go to the national mausoleum situated in Savar. They offer flowers there as a symbol of profound homage and heartfelt love to the martyrs. Meetings, seminars and discussions are held in various places. Different TV channels broadcast special programmes on this day. Important government and non government offices are decorated with colourful lights. This day is a day of great significance for the Bengalis. The day reminds us of the sacrifices of our valiant people. It also reminds us of our duty to protect the independence of the country. To me this day is a day of great joy, hope and inspiration. I see this victory as a victory against injustice, tyranny and falsehood. This day will remain evergreen in the heart of each Bangladeshi.

অর্থঃ ১৬ ডিসেম্বর আমাদের বিজয় দিবস। আমাদের দেশে প্রতি বছর বিজয় দিবস পালিত হয়। এটিকে 'বিজয় দিবস' বলা হয় কারণ ১৯৭১ সালের এই দিনে আমরা পাকিস্তানের কাছ থেকে আমাদের প্রাপ্য বিজয় অর্জন করেছিলাম। রক্তক্ষয়ী যুদ্ধের বিনিময়ে আমরা বিজয় অর্জন করেছি এবং বাংলাদেশ একটি স্বাধীন দেশ হিসেবে বিশ্বের মানচিত্রে স্থান করে নিয়েছে। এই ঐতিহাসিক দিন থেকে আমরা আমাদের গৌরবময় অগ্রগতি অর্জন করতে শুরু করেছি। আমাদের জাতিকে বীর জাতি হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। আসলে বিজয় দিবস আমাদের জন্য একটি বড় অর্জনের দিন। আমাদের বিজয়কে স্মরণীয় করে রাখতে আমরা এই দিনটিকে অত্যন্ত আন্তরিকতার সাথে পালন করি। দেশের জন্য জীবন উৎসর্গকারী শহীদদের সর্বোচ্চ আত্মত্যাগকে আমরা স্মরণ করি। দিন শুরু হয় গুলির শব্দে। উৎসবের আমেজ পরেছে গোটা দেশ। প্রতিটি অফিস ও বাড়ির ওপরে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করা হয়। সর্বস্তরের মানুষ সাভারে অবস্থিত জাতীয় সমাধিতে যান। তারা সেখানে শহীদদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও আন্তরিক ভালোবাসার প্রতীক হিসেবে ফুল নিবেদন করে। বিভিন্ন জায়গায় সভা, সেমিনার ও আলোচনা হয়। বিভিন্ন টিভি চ্যানেল এ দিবসে বিশেষ অনুষ্ঠান সম্প্রচার করে। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সরকারি-বেসরকারি অফিসগুলো রঙিন আলোয় সজ্জিত করা হয়েছে। এই দিনটি বাঙালিদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ দিন। দিনটি আমাদের বীর জনগণের আত্মত্যাগের কথা স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়। এটি আমাদের দেশের স্বাধীনতা রক্ষার দায়িত্বের কথাও স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয়। আমার কাছে এই দিনটি অনেক আনন্দের, আশার এবং অনুপ্রেরণার দিন। এই বিজয়কে আমি অন্যায়, অত্যাচার ও মিথ্যার বিরুদ্ধে বিজয় হিসেবে দেখছি। এই দিনটি প্রতিটি বাংলাদেশীর হৃদয়ে চিরসবুজ হয়ে থাকবে।
