Terrorism has become a major concern in today's world. From aircraft hijacking, planting of bombs in air craft. brutal killing of opponents and innocent people by the terrorists are heard every day from far and near. In Bangladesh. the risks and vulnerabilities created by terrorism have become a serious threat to national security. It has become a threat to life, the economy and political and religious pluralism in Bangladesh. Religious assassinations; political violence and bombings in public places of festivity, entertainment and worship have stunned the country. It is no doubt, hampering our national progress. It is. also waning peace in our country. So, I agree open-handedly with the idea that terrorism should be checked. by collective efforts. 

Terrorism has become a worldwide phenomenon. It has now become a common instrument to realize the demands of various ideological groups, political parties and criminal organizations. Religious and racial fanatics also Lake resort to terrorism to put forward their demands. Common people are .the victims to terrorism. Terrorists have taken away many innocent lives. They have destroyed many families and brought immense sufferings and sorrows to the victims. 

Terrorism is not unthinking violence. Terrorist are very specific for what they want. Terrorist poses the greateSt threats to mankind. They know no friends and recognize no rules. There are many types of terrorist groups depending on that their objectives are. Terrorism is a really a great problem. But the government along with the law enforcing agencies is not enough to uproot it or even to control it. I think, to get rid of this evil, collective and coordinate efforts are required. All peace-loving people should be involved in it. They should be made aware of the great menace. 

I believe, if terrorism is checked by collective efforts, the society would become a better place to live in.

সন্ত্রাসবাদ অচিন্তনীয় সহিংসতা নয়। সন্ত্রাসীরা যা চায় তার জন্য খুব নির্দিষ্ট। সন্ত্রাসবাদী মানবজাতির জন্য সবচেয়ে বড় হুমকি। তারা কোন বন্ধু জানে না এবং কোন নিয়ম স্বীকার করে না। তাদের উদ্দেশ্যের উপর নির্ভর করে অনেক ধরণের সন্ত্রাসী গ্রুপ রয়েছে। সন্ত্রাসবাদ সত্যিই একটি বড় সমস্যা। কিন্তু আইন-শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীর পাশাপাশি সরকার এটিকে উপড়ে ফেলতে বা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতেও যথেষ্ট নয়। আমি মনে করি, এই অশুভ থেকে পরিত্রাণ পেতে হলে প্রয়োজন সম্মিলিত ও সমন্বিত প্রচেষ্টা। এতে সকল শান্তিকামী মানুষকে সম্পৃক্ত করতে হবে। তাদের মহা বিপদ সম্পর্কে সচেতন করা উচিত।
